The Great Fire of Vigo!
For our history topic on the Great Fire of London we made our own houses in the style of the buildings in London before 1666. On a windy, dry day we arranged our houses close together - just as they would have been in London back then. Mrs Perriam chose one building to be the bakery at Pudding Lane and set fire to it.
Within moments the fire had come to life and the strong wind blew the flames onto the nearby buildings. The fire quickly spread and it wasn't long before all of our houses were completely destroyed. Whilst it was exciting some of us were upset to see our houses reduced to ashes, this must have only been a fraction of the sadness felt by Londoners at the time who lost their real homes and not just a pretend one.
