Opening a World of Learning

Welcome Year R

We are a busy but friendly school, with lots going on. This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find the information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school direct with any queries you may have.

Summer Term 2:

Our topic for this half term is the Seaside. We have been learning lots of interesting facts and we have been very creative in learning all about the seaside. At the beginning of the term we made our own ice lollies. Before we made them, in mathematics, we planned which fruit and fruit juices we were going to use. We worked out using a price list how much our ice lolly would cost. Then we made our ice lollies. Before we wrote the instructions on how to make them, we verbally retold the instructions to our partner. Then we wrote the instructions.

One warm Friday afternoon, after we had ran in 'Vigo's Race for life,' we ate our ice lollies.

We hope you enjoy browsing through these photos.

Our Sports Day

Our school sports day was on a Friday. It was lovely weather, not too hot or too cold. In the morning, we ran in our house teams (Wales, Ireland, Scotland and Wales). We took part in various running races, for example, relay, the egg and spoon race etc.  Please take a look at some of our photos from the morning races.

In the afternoon we took part in various different sporting activities. We were put into different groups than in the morning. If we had siblings in the school, we were placed in the same group as them.

History Day

A few weeks ago we had the opportunity to explore and learn about historical artefacts from the Victorian period. All the artefacts had a link to the seaside (because this is our topic). We hope you enjoy looking at our photos of our History Day.
