Earlier this half term the Year 5s travelled to John Hanson to take part in the Andover Schools Hockey Festival. For most of the pupils this was their first opportunity to play in a school fixtures and with the Year 6 pupils at Calshot most of the other schools would be made up of older pupils.

During the first round of group games Vigo lost to a very experienced Amport 2 teams before drawing with Anton 0-0. Due to goal difference Vigo finished 3rd in the group and played in 9-12 placing group

A close defeat to Amport 3 started the group followed by another close 0-0 draw, which Vigo were unlucky to score, saw the group again decided on goal difference. Vigo finished 10th overall which against some stronger hockey schools and more experienced pupils was a good result.
