Message From Mrs Dance
I hope that this week’s newsletter finds you all well.
Yesterday, Year 4 went on their school trip to Hampton Court palace, which links to their History learning about the Tudors. Our Vigo historians spent the day exploring the palace, learning more about the Tudor way of life, including what life was like for Tudor nobility and royalty. They walked in the footsteps of King Henry VIII and his court. The children were exemplary in their behaviour and were fantastic ambassadors for our school. Thank you to the Year 4 team for planning such a great day!
A gentle reminder that the school fence is not the place to have a conversation with your child during the school day. In line with our safeguarding policy and process, any sharing of information or resources must take place via the school office.
The Junior Governors led this week’s Headteacher assemblies with me. They have been planning and preparing ready to launch a new recycling initiative at school. The launch took place in the assemblies with the Junior Governors presenting a PowerPoint and quiz that they had prepared. All classes now have their new recycling boxes, so that we can: Reduce, Re-use and Recycle!
“The Junior Governors have implemented a new recycling initiative and have shared this with all the classes this week in Mrs Dance’s headteacher assembly.
As from 5th May, all classes in Vigo will have a green recycling box which they will be using to recycle paper, card and cardboard. These will be deposited every other day by our cleaners into a recycle bin.
Please remind your children how to recycle and use these boxes. Thank you. The Junior Governors.”
Wishing you all a fantastic bank holiday weekend.
