PLASTIC IN OUR OCEANS 

This week, our learning will have an oceans theme, with a specific focus on the effects of plastic pollution.

 

Both our Reading and Writing tasks this week will be based on this book.

CREATIVE WRITING 

If you'd like to have a go at some creative writing, click on one of the Ocean themed Pobble 365 tasks. 

 

HANDWRITING 

Joining Chart 2 - Watch the video and complete the sheets. You will need to print off two sheets. 

AFTERNOON LEARNING 

TOPIC

After reading and watching the videos provided, create a poster or Power Point presentation titled The Problem with Plastic.

This poster should encourage people to reduce their plastic use. Include shocking facts and pictures to help persuade them. Send a copy to Mrs Hickman.    

ART & CRAFT

Create a piece of art inspired by Plastic in Our Oceans by recycling plastic you throw away at home. Here are just a few ideas:  

  • Plastic Bottle Penguin 
  • Paper Bag Jellyfish 
  • Bottle Top Fish 
  • Plastic Seahorse 

 

Recycled Plastic Art

Email a photo of your art to your teacher to enter the Home Learning Hall of Fame.
