We will continue our work on our focus text:
Now our Reading and Writing tasks will be based on this book:
Plan and write your own story ________________ (your name) in Wonderland.
TASK 1. Create your own wonderland. What will be in the land? What will it look like? Draw and label it. Describe the things in your wonderland. Remember to use expanded noun phrases.
TASK 2. Plan How will you get there? What other characters will you meet? What will they say? What magical things will happen there? What will happen to you? How will you return home? You could draw your plan as a story mountain with pictures and key words along the writing journey.
TASK 3. Plan What descriptive language will you use? nouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, prepositions, time connectives and which of these could be fronted adverbials? Use the planning word mat below.
TASK 4. Write the story. Make sure you look at your plan so you remember to include your fantastic ideas.
TASK 5. Edit and improve. Use the attached editing checklist to help you.
