Year 2

Year 2 is led by Mr Edgington (Peru Class Teacher) alongside the Year 2 team. The Year 2 team includes Mr Dockree and Miss McSherry (Chile Class Teacher) and Miss Horsfield (Brazil Class Teacher). The staff team are very efficient and organised and pride themselves on having high expectations for all learners ahead of the transition to KS2. The staff team are supported by many dynamic Learning Support Assistants. 

In Year 2 the curriculum is designed to prepare children for the transition to KS2. 

Forest School:

During the year each class will have the opportunity explore our Forest School curriculum with Mr Hodgeson. This is based on a half-temrly rotation and you can find out when your child's class will be partaking in their sessions below:

Autumn 1 - Brazil

Autumn 2 - Chile

Spring 1 - Peru

Spring 2 - Brazil 

Summer 1 - Chile

Summer 2 - Peru

PE and Sports:

Throughout the year your child will be taught PE by both their class teacher and our highly skilled and experienced Sports Coach Mr Holmes. They will complete their PE with Mr Holmes during the half terms they do not partake in Forest school.

Art: 

Throughout the year your child will be taught Art by both their class teacher and our professional and extremely creative Artist Teacher Mrs Marta. They will complete their Art with Mrs Marta during the half terms they do not partake in Forest School.
