At Vigo Primary School we understand that choosing a school for your child is a very important decision. If you are thinking about joining Vigo Primary School, or have already made your decision, you can rest assured that you will be joining a family who want the best for your child.
We pride ourselves that your child’s needs will be met so that starting school, or changing school, is a positive and happy time. We believe that parents know their children best, so we will listen to your concerns and wishes to ensure your child settles into our school happily, and quickly.
What will I need to do to join Vigo Primary?
Your first, and most important step, is to come and have a look around. In doing this, you will get a feel for the school you are joining. During your visit, you will be able to look the school in the setting, talk to staff and children. Our doors are always open and you call the office on 01264 365166 to arrange a visit.
Year R
As soon as you have your place confirmed, we will make contact and share all of the upcoming transition dates. Our transition pathway at Vigo Primary School is thorough and effective to ensure your child has a smooth and confident start to school. You may have lots of questions and there will be many opportunities for you to visit school and speak with staff ahead of their September start.
Coming from another school
We will ensure there are opportunities for your child to visit Vigo Primary School before they join us full time. We also work closely with yourselves and the previous school to ensure we have as much information as we can to ensure that your child settles in quickly and happily.
