We are proud of our happy and friendly school in which staff, governors, children and parents work hard to provide the best possible start to school life. All members of our school community work to fulfil our Vision Statement and to develop our ‘MIRROR’ learning values in our children.  We are proud of how everyone works together to reinforce and implement the aims of our school.  A school will only achieve its full potential if we all work together, teaching the importance of the experience of school, to help our children value education and learning. At Vigo Primary School we encourage each child’s sense of self-worth and develop the child’s capacity to live as an independent, self-motivated person who respects and values themselves and all others.

 

We craft and teach an engaging, broad and balanced curriculum that is driven by key big questions and concepts like diversity, equality, friendship and democracy. Through our curriculum and everything else we offer your child will be involved in experiencing school life to the full, developing not only the academic potential of your child but the social and moral sides of their character too.  

We are lucky to have large grounds where our children can play and explore.  We deliver Forest School sessions across the year and even have a school dog our children can take for a walk. There is more to Vigo than you may think!
