We spend time in class listening to different genres of music and thinking about how they make us feel.  The class are challenged to pick one word which sums up how they find a specific piece of music.  Sometimes the words which a person selects can be quite conflicting and it is a challenge to decide which word is the strongest out of all they have thought of and felt. 

 

We then spend time talking about the music and sharing opinions.  It is important that the class can identify emotions and talk about them so this is a great way as everyone responds differently to music.  There is no right or wrong and we promote this mantra so that discussions can be constructive, whilst promoting people to listen to others and share their own opinions.  

 

All of our thoughts go onto our class music board to remind us of how things can make us feel.
